Well, here we are again! Another snow kite season, another Hardwater Kiting GSR and I am totally psyched to see so many familiar faces! Participation is always a little "lean" initially but it also consists of the dedicated participants that we love to see year after year. And it's always fun to see how everyone has progressed over time. Seriously, even in light wind on a non-race kite, people are still over 20 mph. And more than half the field is over 40- mph and close to 50 mph! And of course it's always a thrill to see what the speedy guys in Quebec are up to. I'm psyched to welcome Gary Kjelleren back into the mix. He was MIA from the ranking for a bit but has returned with a vengeance and is tied for week one with Guy Lebrun! I'm hoping this cultivates some friendly rivalry in the ranking. It's always exciting to see two power houses dual over the season. Of course I have to note that Gary submitted two speeds for week 1. One for ski and one for boards. 52 on a board is quite an achievement. Especially given it isn't a custom kite race board. Well done Gary you beast! ;-) Week 2 submissions are due 1.14.2018 Let's see what you got!!!
