In a weird sort of unspoken way, snowkite season is starting to gain momentum. As if somebody flipped a switch, even before the trees started to change colors, wind loving, snow riding Hardwater Kiters are starting to come out of the woodwork and have been touching base in anticipation of the upcoming kite skiing season. Days are getting shorter, nights colder. Higher elevations have seen short periods of snow and ice.
It's coming. But alas we must be patient. Now is the time to pull out your kites. Do a little static flying and get that muscle memory fired back up. Here at Hardwater HQ we are getting our first looks at some of the new releases from our vendors and are pretty excited about what we've seen so far. In the pic above we're testing HQ's new Zeekai open cell FreeRace foil. We've also been playing with Ozone's new Chrono V2 and have been very impressed with the new changes made to an already awesome kite. Stay tuned for updates here and for more news on the the new kites from Ozone, Flysurfer and HQ. We hope you all had as great a summer as we did. We're looking forward to seeing everyone again in the coming months!

WARNING. No ice is ever 100% safe. We offer condition reports as a service to our students and clients who are familiar with the area and as a source of general condition information to others. These reports are not intended to replace common sense or up to the minute first hand knowledge of a given area. Nor is it a substitute for common sense. When in doubt don't go out.
