With winds gusting of 40kts yesterday all that sweet pow got pushed around and formed some pretty substantial waves punctuated by thin areas of snow covering the boiler plate. The thin snow areas were not fun to ride but the waves, which span most of the lakes right now, can be ridden parallel and make for nice 3' deep powder runs in the right wind direction.
Lakes that don't get much wind in a Northerly will be less affected than the image above shows. The storm on Monday will smooth much of this out as well. Winds for today will be much friendlier.
